This is an entertainment industry with clearly outlined rules, and the only true thing you can really do against this is protest. Hacking is not only causing damage to the consumer who is just trying to have that entertainment supplied (It's not "collateral damage", this isn't a war) but it simply justifies Sony because you can't go about this in a civil way.

Meh. Eventually, most of the Anons are just going to stop caring. So long as Sony continues doing what everyone should do when someones hounding you (shrug it off, ignore it and go about your business as usual), they'll move on to something else.
Not to say Sony is 'right' in this situation, but I just think there's a lot of things that are worth fighting for. A game console is not one of them.

Bleh. This stuff is getting silly. Not what "Anonymous" is doing, I mean that people are treating it like an organised group. The whole point of Anonymous, and you could say the source of their power, is that they could be anyone. The people who originally took down Sony's servers may have laid down their cyber-arms a week ago. "Anonymous" won't rest because as soon as one lot of them are bored and move on, some others will turn up and continue the attacks. This is how it always goes. Quantifying them as an overall group and talking about what Anonymous as whole wants or doesn't want is ludacris. you might as well all be trying to discuss what kind of cake you think God prefers (although arguably there is more tangible proof of Anonymous).

Whenever I read a story about Anonymous, I always pop in my Enrique Iglesias "Hero" single and put that shit on repeat.
So... How is a bunch of kids in masks supposed to convince anyone of anything? I fail to see how this will accomplish anything. If someone goes to the store with the intention of buying something, some kid in a mask isn't going to convince them otherwise.

I still want a PS3. Love my xbox, wii, and ds, but I wanna play the awesome PS3 exclusives. If Sony is willing to give me a free PS3, I'll be on their side. If Anonymous can give me a free PS3, I'll be on their side. So they're going to attack Sony by harassing employees and consumers who have literally nothing to do with the Geohot case all in the name of making a point?
