I have a Play so this is good news I guess. I'll definitely get Lumines and Minecraft and perhaps a few PS1 games. I've been using emulators thus far(their great!) I only play games I own though as I have a conscience.
If I don't get a Blackberry next, I'm pretty sure I'm required by law to own one in Waterloo, I'll definitely give this a look. Some solid games coming out for it.
Hell yes! This is absolutely my next phone once elligible. I'm hoping there will be a wave of new Andoid OS roms, such as a fully working Cyanogen mod.
So far I'm pleased with my Xperia Play. it's not a superphone but it's cool enough for me especially if your priority is set more toward the gaming side,
As a phone Gingerbread is very sleek and responsive smartphone OS.
And as gaming device, the Play is the best mobile phone to run emulator on the go with a very convenient physical pad.
Also it's worth noting that the native android games optimized for the Play hardware buttons, works remarkably better than touch screen only in certain games.
I mean the good thing about the XPlay is that you have the option to try to play with touchscreen/accelerometer and then switch to gamepad...you will instantly know which feels better to play with for longer period of time.

Honestly, I'd be happy just having a Gameboy emulator on this thing. Anything past that is gravy.

As much as i want one of these, I don't think it would do the job as your one and only phone. think this is for people like my buddy who carry a phone and a gaming phone.
I don't game on my phone, because I don't like having to charge it in the afternoon.
Phone = 8am - 1am.
Gaming phone = 8am - 2pm charge a bit 5pm - 8pm charge a bit etc etc.
I'm 100% sold on a Vita though. That shit will be mine, and if I play it so hard I kill the battery, at least I can still make and recieve calls on my phone.
