Animal Crossing Wii bundle just got priced photo

Our editor-in-chief has just sent along some information fresh from Nintendo's presentation at the GameStop manager's conference in Las Vegas, where the Big N has been discussing Animal Crossing: City Folk and its Wii Speak peripheral. For those of you excited about yet another fruit collecting simulator, we can now reveal how much cash you'll need to scrape together.

According to Nintendo's presentation, City Folk and Wii Speak will be bundled together for $69.99 when it ships this November. Unfortunately, this is the real world, and you can't sell apples to a raccoon until you have enough money. If life was like Animal Crossing, things would be much easier. Although I'd then have to deal with pink chipmunks calling me Sparkles.

Sorry, I got sidetracked. This is what happens when Nick Chester demands I write a breaking story when I'm trying to look at Rouge The Bat por ... uh ... yeah. Animal Crossing: City Folk has a price now. Concentrate on that while I close all these tabs on my browser.

I'll probably skip on the voice chat and get the game alone. I like the thought of finally having a communication device for Wii online games but I have no interest in the likely almost-as-racist-as-Xbox-live crowd that is the Nintendo online.

So, Wii Speak alone will be around $60, right?

They will need to add features to this game for me to buy it for $69.99. Maybe like... if you could play older NES games together or atleast keep a friend leaderboard on some of the games.

Something else than FISHING.

70 dollars??? Ok, lets halve that for roughly GBP of £35... now add on for whatever taxes you have to, plus the retailers profit.

Which comes to about £70.... seems fair.

Kidding... It'll be a ridiculous £35-40 remake with widescreen and waggle.

I'll still buy it, because I am a tool.

It's on the Wii, don't care.

NotAZombie, its a good thing you posted then.

This is too expensive. Will not buy. (Wouldn't have bought the game if it was 20 dollars, never understood it's appeal)

Wii Speak is nice, might pick it up if The Conduit uses it. And I get off of Dial up any time soon...

Another great hit for the Wii! C'mon, you can all afford this. It's not like there are other consoles with other games coming out over the next 3 months. And it's not like those consoles have voice support built in right? Oh.

@PEICanada7

Oh yeah. Forgot about that. ;_;

I think I would rather save my moneys until I see a list of who is supporting the WiiSpeak peripheral. Otherwise, why bother with a device that perhaps only works with select software? I doubt it is backwards compatible, too.

:/

Good game, same as usual. I loved the Game Cube and DS versions, but I'm not sure I want to lose my life collecting fruits and digging... Nevermind, I'll start saving, my sis is going to ask me for it.
