...-_-;
Why hold these things if your info is just going to be a trickle anyway?
Why keep holding out when you obviously don't want to have a huge media blowout?

That's cool, I didn't know you didn't have to be playing the same game at the same time. (still don't know if I'd ever find another 3DS owner who owns the same games as me though)
I just discovered a few weeks ago that there's streetpass for mp3s, too. You can make a list of your ten favorite songs, and then those get swapped. I'm assuming the lists, not the actual songs. However, I HIGHLY doubt I'll ever pass by anyone that uses their 3ds as an mp3 player.
If you haven't, it's worth checking out if only for the Excitebike visualizer.
why does Nintendo seem to be pushing it away like the fucked up aunt who comes to visit every 5 years?
You're in for a treat! I think the DS version was the best iteration of the game to date. The stylus makes so much more sense to use for designing things, and since Animal Crossing is a game you only really play for half an hour a day anyway (except when all your trees bloom and you have to spend two hours selling everything), it makes perfect sense as a handheld. I have friends who still play it now before bed, because the music is so calm and chill and it makes for pleasant dreams.
The Wii version was nice in theory and added some cool features, like designing multiple parts of a shirt to actually make cool outfits, but it was pretty useless with the Wiimote unless you have magically steady hands (I don't). I'd love to see all the new functionality (like the aforementioned design elements, city visits, and shorter loading times) incorporated into the 3DS version. My least favorite thing about the DS version was switching between buttons and stylus, but it was an early DS release so I'm sure that that's fixed by now. Adding in Street Pass elements sells it immediately for me.
