Continuing the trend of silly DS gimmick games, the Japanese company Success is releasing a tracing simulator. That's right, it is a 'game' about tracing. Calling itself Enpitsu de Oku no Hosomichi DS, which translates as The Narrow Way to the Deep North by Pencil, the objective, if you can even call it that, is to trace over the travel story Oku no Hosomichi, presumabely so we can learn Kanji.
In addition to all those lovely travelling tales for you to trace, you'll get to hear the voice of Japanese actor Tooru Nakamura, as well as get some pictures and background noises as if that somehow makes this a better purchase. To be honest, it's not very exciting, is it? The least they could do is jazz it up some, maybe call it Tracemaster Z and the Stunning Battle for Pencil City.
This is a Japan only title, so if you want to trace things, you'll need to get it imported post-haste. Go on, do it today and do it swiftly, my child. Or you could, y'know, just get some bloody tracing paper and a pencil for fifty cents. Perhaps I'm too cynical, though.

Watashi wa your daddy desu.
While i was living in Japan my Japanese class which wasn't really japanese for myself but Japanese in general was pretty much watching me and the other jap's in my class learn to write correctly and in the right style. Which is the style above. I would say this is a great help if you are learning Kanji, Hiragana and Katakana because you are tracing the shape and order of the symbol, and with that you can write in a good style rather than messy sqrall.
....?
what the heck, I keep thinking it is. no shows to look forward tonight and...grrr, darn you thursday DARN YOU!

So is just printing some Kanji off the interweb and buying tracing paper.
"Watashi wa" is what I was taught in the Japanese classes I took in college. It's what they teach over here. Also, I think almost any Japanese chick willing to hear "watashi wa your daddy desu" isn't concerned about his grammar. They're more concerned about his ability to buy Sailor costumes, ordering beer, and pay for a love hotel for the night.
Besides, I personally never hear "boku wa" used until late in my second year of Japanese, so I hardly ever use it, personally. I could care less about how formal/informal it might be when I visit Japan and am talking to people.
Why do I not care?
Gajin Smash. Plain and simple.
