And the winner of The Tester season two is…

If you're following along with Sony's PlayStation Network-only reality show, The Tester, and you haven't seen the finale yet, stop reading now.

Okay, we good? Here's your winner: Matthew "Gaymer" Brown took top honors this season, besting 11 others and winning a spot as Sony Computer Entertainment's newest tester in its Quality Assurance department. Brown also gets a $5,000 signing bonus, a 46" 3D Bravia television, and a limited edition The Tester PlayStation 3 console.

I can hear you now: "Great, he gets a crappy gig with Sony doing the worst possible job in the industry. Good for him!" I hear you, but consider this: many high-profile industry veterans got their start in Sony's QA department. Take David Jaffe, for instance -- he started his career doing QA for Sony Imagesoft. You've heard of that guy, right? Oh, he only worked on some games you might have heard of like God of War and Twisted Metal.

Wondering what happened to last season's winner of The Tester, Will Powers? He's moved up and out of the QA department already, now working with Sony PlayStation in a public relations capacity.

Hey, who said playing videogames and then playing videogames on a reality show that you can only watch by downloading it from a videogame console would never get you anywhere?
