He says "Babies" because of the Baby Boomers, those born after WWII up until the sixties. Your Welcome. Well at least I think I'm right, I'm biased toward my own ideas.
Long answer is no as well to be honest. The iPhone is but I don't think the ipad will cut into the market as well as some may think. It is expensive and unlike a phone or small music player I don't think people will truly see a reason to own one.
For us geeks, why bother with an ipad when there are more robust options out there with full connectivity(no proprietary expensive limited connectivity). With the ipod touch you had a jailbreak-able music player that did videos well and had a sexy touch screen. The iPhone made smart phones sexy. The iPad just exist... and you can't put it in your pocket.
Sorry I don't listen to Pachter, especially considering that he's been wrong consistently on many of his predictions.
I think analysts can of course be wrong from time to time, but this guy to me has become entertainer first and an analyst second. And even then, he doesn't seem to look or check the facts.
Just remember that these guys are analysts, not prophets. They say what ever seems to look good and the most possible outcome. You can never take them too seriously.

But I have to admit, an analyst needs to look at cold hard facts, numbers, data, charts, sales numbers, and you'd think that instead of pandering to the hardcore, who don't seem to have clear level headed logic, that pachter would be doing his job as a REAL analyst. I just think he's gotten "famous" and us riding on that.

The guy is one big joke. I wouldn't even be surprised if I watched this episode and it predicted the downfall of the Wii before the sales boom that just happened, and if it ISN'T in the video then no doubt it is because Pach had to change it after he pissed his pants after seeing NSMB sales.

I find it funny that companies would act on his assessments. Info from Mrs. Cleo is about as legitimate. Honestly, read the gaming blogs, comments, forums...simply just 'paying attention' or situational awareness is enough to get a clue without turning to soothsayers.

Kinda like the idea, but tbh if it's only that much each episode I'm not going to watch it and just stick to hearing him on Bonus Round.
