An update on the PC version of Split Second photo

Having played a few minutes of Black Rock Studio's Split Second and messed around with Bizarre Creation's Blur in the multiplayer beta, I still can't seem to decide which I'm looking forward to more. So, I'll totally cheat and say I want both games equally.

That VideoGame Blog was curious about the state of Split Second on PC, and luckily for us, Disney Interactive was in a talkative mode. "We will be releasing on PC at the same time but it will be a limited online release," explained a company rep.

For reference, the console versions (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360) are launching in the US on May 18. And no, we don't entirely know what a limited online release is either. Hopefully, that's code for "Steam."

I would expect digital delivery only PC games to become more and more common as we move forward, just as console games will eventually go that route when their systems catch up.

For a person like me who likes boxes and likes feeling like he owns games, it is dissapointing, but it's not OMG TERRIBLE enough to warn me off gaming or anything.

Man, I am so much more excited for this than Blur having played both. This is creative, Blur still feels old.

It seems like they've put a couple coats of polish on blur lately. Split second is a given, especially after pure, but now I'm ready to come off the fence about blur.

Yay! I was hoping they would release this for PC. I wonder what they mean by "limited PC release" though.
