I actually felt pretty bad for that kid that faked his death. It's just typical 15 year old bad decisions and histrionics, but because the internet has an infinitely long memory, he's literally NEVER going to live that shit down.

nah not me :P i played the old ones for like half an hour and lost interest, even way back when. Ocarina of time was the first and last zelda i finished (loved it). was lovin majora's mask emulator style, but it crashed, so that fire was extinguished. I got skyward sword but....its just sitting...there.....staring at me and making me feel guilty....:( lol

If you are talking about A Link to the Past, you need to give it another go. There is no dragged-out intro; you jump into the fray pretty quickly. It's a lot more fast-paced than later Zeldas, and the sprite art is simply lovely. You owe it to yourself to try again.

I always believed that the world in ALTTP was bigger than OOT, I guess I wasn't paying much atention.

I remember playing a demo version of a 2D Ocarina. It only had Kokiri forest, but I thought it had potential. Shame that the project stopped.

The real "black mark" in the history of gaming as it relates to Richard Denton isn't that HE faked his death, but that the gaming community's false sense of entitlement is so grossly inflated that a young boy felt he had no other option but to forfeit his identity to escape its wrath. Would these people have been happier if he was actually dead? Does he also owe them his life??
All I can do is laugh it off at this point its so ridiculous.

That's pretty awesome, but it just reinforces that Link to the Past's overworld was much more interesting than Ocarina's. Look at the two side by side in 2D and it looks like LttP is a way bigger game.
