The intriguing horror game AMY is finally making its appearance on January 10, where it'll hit the PlayStation Network for $12.99. It'll come to Xbox Live Arcade the following day, for the strangely reduced price of 800 Microsoft Points (that's ten bucks).
In Europe, both the PSN and XBLA versions will land on January 10.
So far, nobody's found out why the PSN version costs more. It's all very strange, but there you have it.
A PC version is coming, but it'll apparently be a few months before we see it, which sucks. In any case, we'll have a review some time next week. I'm crossing my fingers that it's the first awesome game of the year.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Well theres not many alternatives with the way Microsoft allows pricing, is there? Its either reduce it to 800 or increase it to 1200 ($15) if your going to try to keep it in league with the PSN price. Either way your going to lose: PSN people are going to bitch because they have to pay more, or 360 people would bitch because they'd have to pay more.
The odder thing would be that they should have priced the PSN version at $10, not the other way around.
Saving money is saving money.
Doesn't bother me much as I am a PS+ member, but if they're starting to do that to more games, a lot of people will be pissed.
Hydrophobia and tomb raider underworld were free to plus owners, also there have been a lot of discounts on games and dlc Daytona USA, the infamous dlc we got resident evil 4 for 10 bucks instead of 20 and wipeout hd and fury were free for awhile, and I got both penny arcade games for three bucks total.
A lot of stuff has gone on sale the past four months.
Sony finally had an excuse to do it in the past 6 months because of PS+ - Microsoft has been doing it since Xbox Live came out in 2002.
those sales were made by the madatory 50 bucks a year you had to cough up to exists on their network. The original online pass.
That's why it's amazing to me people complain about online passes whilst on xbox live. For 5 years you reliably demonstrated your that easy to part with your money, why did they think corperations weren't gonna take advantage of that?
Bit he'll after 5 years of this xbox silver paper weight I might as well get gold and round it out, and try out some of the stuff I missed over the years . I think the new console cycle will start this E3 and online passes are clearly here to stay so I can get it guilt free while still saying I fought the good fight.
Cogito ergo sum...it will probably cost you $10 on PlayStaion w/ Plus as well. Tah-fing-dahh!!!
no, you don't need Gold to buy things on XBL. you need Gold to play online and to take advantage of certain services (like Netflix and some sales). XBLA, XBLIG, and DLC are available to anyone with an internet connection and some money.
that aside, i think i'd rather have it on PC if there's a DRM-free version. if not, well, XBLA will do, i suppose. (pending reviews and the demo, of course.)
