Sexy man bear Flynn De Marco over on Kotaku brought to light that David Hayter will indeed be voicing Solid Snake in Smash Bros Brawl. A Kotaku reader noticed on the comments section of the above Youtube video that one of David's fans asked him whether he would be voicing the Solid one or not:
Hello David Hayter! I have to say that you are one of the greatest voice actors ever, and you do a great job as snake. I was wondering, are you going to voice Snake in Super smash bros. brawl?
David replied and said he has already recorded all of his lines and that he thinks the fans will be extremely happy with the results. Can you just imagine how funny it's going to sound like when you hear Solid Snake getting Smashed out of stage?
So does this news make your snake solid even more for Brawl?
Hamza Aziz, Destructoid's Community Director, has been here since day one. He was born when a tiger coughed up a hairball into a pool of ooze. He was one of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles before budget cuts. Hamza works as a previews editor and manages a team in San Francisco. To date he has given away tens of thousands of dollars in prizes to readers. What a dick. Actually, Hamza is as kind as he is hairy.

Anyone else waiting to see what his face looked like when he does the English version of Snake's voice? He probably contorts it so much it's killed children... or at least I hope so.
Actually everytime he falls of the stage Snake. SNAKE!? SNNNAAAAAAAAAAKKKKEEE! plays, meaning that Snake will be the cheapest character ever becasue no one will want to KO him.
The death cry better be "Snake? SNAKE? SNAAAAAAAAKE!!!"
If it's not, then I will be forced to say it every time he dies. Then, no one will want to play with me :(
Method 47 you can't be serious. His Japanese accent is one of the WORST I have ever heard. The Japanese was too correct tough so I think his Japanese only goes so far as to what the script taught him.
I met this guy at Video Games Live in Los Angeles and he was EXTREMELY nice (Tommy Tallarico is a douche). He looks better with long hair though, he doesn't look nearly as cool in this video. He was really nice and chatted with me and my friends for a while. We were being normal with him though, we weren't acting like crazy fanboys, which we aren't anyway, I still haven't played MGS3.
I hope his death noise is that echoing scream. But do you think they are just doing this for Snake or do you think they will get voice actors for all the characters? One thing I liked about Smash Bros was it still used all the japanese voices although having Hayter as Snake would be a lot better.
even though I did a clog about this guy a while ago and kinda hated on him...Im no longer a Hayter <----see what I did there. The way he voices Snake....SOLID!
Snake should be the ONLY character in brawl. Isn't it obvious that he would just destroy them all before the games release? thats how he gets stuff done.

Metal Gear....oooh nachos!
Though that would be even more awesome.
The Japanese voice actor just doesn't cut it.
If it's not, then I will be forced to say it every time he dies. Then, no one will want to play with me :(
on a side note...David Hayter is so awesome.
I don't even know moonspeak and I can tell he's just phonetically reciting a romanized version of the language.
Just like all those J-Pop singers and their "english".
and yes THIS is reason enough
