Amazon: Tekken 6 wireless stick bundle $79.99 photo

Nice. I put this on my Christmas list, and I know damned well that no one is going to buy it for me. So I'm playing Santa today and ordering this for myself.

You can nab either the PS3 or Xbox 360 version of this bundle, which contains the game, Tekken 6, a fancypants art book, and the limited edition wireless fight stick, crafted by Hori. This bundle is normally about $150, but Amazon has it on sale for $77.99. To put this in perspective, know that the game itself is $59.99. You're getting the stick for almost nothing!

If your family sucks at gifts like mine does, get yourself a nice present for a nice price.

[thanks, Ian]

damn, probably would pick this up if I didn't already own T6. I don't feel too bad about it though, got it for $33 during Amazon's Thanksgiving week sale.

They had this deal for 59.99 during Thanksgiving. The art book looks nothing like that for either version.

Any websites have a review of the stick's quality yet? I'm kind of picky. I already am looking at popping open a stick I got here, but I would really like a wireless guy, so I'm considering making this one an addition to my collection.

Sonofabitch! I bought that for $150 when it first came out :/
@DGX the sticks is ok, nothing special, it's a little bit light for me. It's definitely more of a mid-tier pricing stick, as expected. The wireless however is nice, but it's still USB. I want a true blue tooth stick!

Just an FYI for those looking into just the stick, it is craft by Hori and uses just Hori parts. The buttons are soldered into the board so they aren't that easy to replace. I think the gate is square but don't quote me on that as I could be wrong. But for a simple wireless stick, it gets the job done but I would rather get the Hori Xbox 360 Real Arcade Pro. EX-SE or the Hori PS3 Real Arcade Pro. 3-SA, both of which are on sale with Amazon as well. But that's just me. Besides, you get that collectors art book with this stick.

I'm looking at sticks too, you know, arcade sticks, not tree porn or anything.
The regular edition of the SF4 stick seems to be decent and only around $40 and that's what I'm considering, especially since I have that game.

I'm not sure if I would jump on this deal or not. I would get a game out of it, true, but it's hard to say if I'd really play it or get enough trade credit back to really compare it to getting the Street Fighter one.

I really suck at directional moves so I'm being hyper picky for something with a good stick. It's only made worse because I've never used one.

About the stick:

USB dongle connection
Takes AAA batteries
No way to connect wired
Hard to mod and not a lot of room in the chasis (so I've heard, never tried)
REALLY light weight (it reminds me almost of a frisbee)
Bigger than an EX2 but much smaller than a Madcatz TE
100% plastic construction (even balltop is entirely plastic)
Stiff stick, mushy buttons

Personally I prefer the stick itself to my EX2 and TE. I guess I perform moves better with a stiffer stick since I have a tendency to flail around in the midst of battle (lol). The buttons though are very cheap feeling and mushy but otherwise perform well.

Even if this isn't the Madcatz SF stick, this is one hell of a deal. I might have to consider this for a friend.

Wow, I'm upset now. I bought this at Future Shop in Canada literally just under an hour ago for 159.99 CAD.

I may see if I can bring this back tomorrow morning and just order it off Amazon.

I've been hearing that this fight stick is pretty crap compared to the SF4 one. Its wireless too...which I don't really like. I'd hate for my batteries to go out right in the middle of a match.

$80 for a new game w/fight stick and art book is a good deal though.

I, too, bought this package for full price. Boo. I can say that the Xbox 360 version of the stick is fine and well-constructed, even though the backplate is only plastic. The buttons are slightly mushy, but there are 8 face buttons and full-size start and back buttons. It still compares well to the Hori SF4 sticks, in my opinion.

I do recommend, however, immediately throwing away the cheap "Rocket" brand Chinese AA batteries that come with it. Mine leaked electrolyte in the controller and it burned my hands when I opened the battery cover.

^ wrong. We debunked the wireless stick "FAIL" nonsense on SRK last year. Tests were done measuring down to the milliseconds between wireless and wired inputs and there was virtually no difference. The margin was so small between them that it didn't matter. Trust me, many die hard wireless haters were shocked but the fact is that modern RF and bluetooth technology is very good.
