Amazon matches Walmart on Modern Warfare 2 deal photo

Walmart.com was the way to go if you were looking to pick up Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, as they were giving at $15 gift card to anyone buying the game. No, it is not as good as a $15 discount, but at least you could make up some of your losses with groceries or batteries or that peanut butter and jelly in the same jar crap.

Amazon has stepped up to the plate to match Walmart's deal. Kind of. All of the versions of Modern Warfare 2 have some kind of money bonus attached to them. The standard PS3, Xbox 360 and PC versions all match Walmart's deal, giving buyers $15 toward another purchase. The $80 Hardened Edition and the $150 Prestige Edition both have a $10 bonus attached to them. I guess they figure if you've got that much cash, you don't need as much of a bonus.

You can pick from the various versions here.

[thanks, CCG]

I hate watching all of these deals since they're exclusive to the US and where I live prices will NEVER be the same prices as the US

For instance the new silent hill game on the wii is going to cost 70 dollars

I could go on a Starbursts, orange juice, Funyuns, Cool Ranch Doritos, and Yakisoba binge with that Walmart gift card.

Walmart is probably the best gift card. If you're hunting for cheap games, they are the best. They sold Valkyria Chronicles for $20 just a few weeks ago.

I find this site amusing. It reminds me of when I was a teenager and I read Hit Parader and shit like that. Shallow, but amusing.

Sounds good to me. Amazon usually has some good trade in deals, so this one shouldn't end up costing me too much.

<3 Amazon, way way more than Wal Mart.

So I will be purchasing from them, and use my card for the next trade paperback of "The Walking Dead" which comes out soon.

Just a heads-up, the Amazon thing is $15 off a future video game purchase, not just anything.

Either way, beats the hell out of the "Exclusive gamer picture" offered at Gamestop. Fucking lame.

Whatever - What is the deal for amazon EU? Europe being charged 98 dollars?
I think the game and the studio should be boycotted period.

PS. COD4 was a rental.
The SP was as on rails a shooter as I have played in a long time. The AI sucked.
3 days done , chuck.

Hmmm, the PC version is the same price as the console versions? I haven't bought a new game in a while, but isn't the PC version usually 10 bucks cheaper? Any chance this price disparity will occur at any of the digital distribution vendors?

Aka Walmart's way of getting PC gamers who are put off by the $10 increase.

I hope tru does a $20-30 card like they did with odst and arkham asylum. I actully still need to redeem the odst $20.

Although the devs. Defending the sp game lenght ny saying that people will get way more because it has multiplayer. Sounds like a long way of saying "yup it's another" 5 hours campaign. And this is from someone who generalies starts playing on the harder difficulties (no hardest on cod cause the nades makes it more frustrating than fun.

Any but yeH, if I can get it at $40 I can sorts overlook the puny campaign.

GameStop's got a pretty cool preorder deal going, too. They're giving away thousands of cool prizes like a TF-141 Hummer, Ducatis, a briefcase crammed with 100,000 Rubles, real life ghillie suits, and way more that I can't even list here. I'm helping them with the contest at www.surprizeattack.com.

Amazon's deal is actually better than Wal-Mart's now. You get *$20* off a future video game purchase for pre-ordering. Unless the last game you ever plan on buying is Modern Warfare 2, this deal rules.
