You know how this goes, right? Amazon will offer discounted games that they've picked out, with timed releases of titles scheduled throughout the day. The event kicked off today at 6:00 a.m. PDT with the phenomenal Active Life Outdoor Challenge for the Wii. Sold out. Woo. "Fore!" is the hint for the 9 a.m. one. Wonder if it'll be a soccer game.
Their all-day deal during this promotion is The Sims 3 for PC. The list price is $49.99, and it was $39.99 yesterday on Amazon. Today they take an extra $10.01 off, giving you the Gold Box price of $29.98. Not bad.
In loosely related news, while browsing Amazon's game section today I noticed that the PlayStation version of Persona is only getting $20.50 for a trade-in. Ouch. That game was about $100 for so long. I guess the upcoming PSP version of the game ruined the collectible value.

Shit. I'd better hurry up and get rid of Suikoden 2 before it goes to PSN or something.
My brother and I had a discussion about this recently, after I picked up a copy of Suikoden for $50 on Amazon. He said I should get the second one, I said I'm waiting for it to hit the PSN or get a PSP remake. Both are unlikely, but it could happen.
Back on topic...not excited about this Gold Box sale. The Sims 3 is tempting, if it weren't for the fact that there are a ton of games coming out in the next few months. Muramasa, Scribblenauts, Borderlands, Brutal Legend...
