Amazon: $20 PSN credit for PSPgo buyers photo

If you're not in the senseless PSP hate camp, then you might be thinking about getting a PSPgo. Amazon.com is always a good place to shop, with their low prices and no tax and fast shipping, but now a nice promotion makes it even more tempting...again, if you don't hate the PSP.

Buy a PSPgo any time in the next week (through October 27th) and you'll get a $20 credit to be used on the PlayStation Network towards any game. Amazon slaps the credit right onto your account so that you can shop at their new PSN store. Need even more incentive than that? Well, the systems are actually on sale as well, though you'll only save $5. Hey, it's better than nothing.

Go ahead, say it: It's not better than a UMD drive.

[thanks, CCG]

At first I misread it as $250 credit, which I would almost buy a PSPgo for.

"If you're not in the senseless PSP hate camp [...]"

I'd just like to point out that there's a difference between hating PSP and hating PSPGo.

I love my trusty old PSP. I will never replace it with a PSPGo.

Call this 'senseless' all you want. I call it 'keeping the piece of technology with greater functionality and value.'

Oh, and, "it's not better than a UMD drive." Happy?

I really think it's funny that Sony is making any money at all on this thing. I mean, they took off some functionality, took off some size, and added to the price! You can't tell me that slide mechanism costs $80!

It's a nifty little thing...invokes my tech lust. But man, I don't think I could ever justify that.

Just caved and bought a PSP-3000 Rock Band Unplugged bundle. Much better decision.

the pspgo's price is the outrageous thing for me. in fact, I expect it to plunge pretty soon. but if they cost the same, and I didn't already have a 3000, I'd seriously consider the Go. Not having to carry around UMDs has its advantages, especially when you're talking about a portable console.

i'll upgrade from my psp1000 when the go costs £170 ish.

It will happen. This is a special early adopter price remember. If you won't pay so much, it's not for you right now.

Or I could buy a PSP 3000, for $130, save $120, and beat this deal by a c-note.
