Rovio's first non-Angry Birds flavored mobile game is finally upon us, and it takes the form of Amazing Alex (which sadly, could have been called The Amazing Chad instead). If you're familiar with the Goldbergian devices of 90s PC series The Incredible Machine, you'll have some idea of what the game is about.
From what I've played, it actually does a better job of distilling the fun of the 90s classics than Disney's new iOS version of The Incredible Machine. I doubt it will take off like Angry Birds did, but then again, not much would.
Although the game came out yesterday, it had a fairly large bug for many iOS users that involved a constantly freezing error loop of "this game is not recognized by Game Center". Amazingly enough, this has already been patched as of this morning.
