You know Amaterasu and Thor are in Marvel vs. Capcom 3, now watch the newly revealed fighters in action. Love that Capcom decided to pit Amaterasu against The Hulk. Hells yes you know that Amaterasu can defeat even the might green beast.
Really digging Amaterasu's fighting style. She's very quick and she even has some of the Celestial Brush powers as part of her move set. Nice.
After the break is Thor, but who cares! AMATERASU!!!

As for the son of Odin,I thought that he would be as fast as the element that he commands. Step your game up,Mighty Thor or you're going to be mighty sore after all of the but whopping Chris Redwood and the Green Goliath are going to put on you. For Asgard!
Though she IS the god of all creation, so it would not surprise me if she was also among the best fighters.
That said, I'm still excited about the Amaterasu addition more because wolves, god powers, and characters with small hit boxes are all awesome than because of the mediocre Okami, albeit I wouldn't want to face that combination.
Incidently, what's the control format for this game? Super Smash Bros. ruined most fighting games for me, so the control scheme is the single most important factor in whether I pick this game up.
It's funny that you mentioned being agitated with the story structure, because I thought that was one of the coolest parts about the game. Not saying you're wrong for having a different opinion (obviously), I just thought it was interesting. I personally liked how the story kept expanding outward and the threats became increasingly global.
