Capcom revealed Dr. Doom, Chun-Li, Super Skrull and Trish from Devil May Cry yesterday and now Marvel has two more character reveals. Yes, Thor and Amaterasu will be in Marvel vs. Capcom 3. So. Awesome.
The Thor reveal timing is perfect as Marvel is currently hyping the hell out of the Thor movie at San Diego Comic-Con this week. What I wasn't expecting was that Amaterasu would ever be in the game. The screens below depict the two squaring off.
This is now two Clover created characters (Viewtiful Joe hasn't been officially announced yet, but you know that's his silhouette in the trailer) that Capcom hasn't really done much with. While we're at it, you might as well throw in Gene from God Hand, Capcom.

I was diasappointed with tatsunoku vs capcom's roster, not only because I didn't know what a tatsunoku was, but also capcom's side was missing some interesting characters like Amaterasu. Now if they add Phoenix wright the game is an absolutely guaranteed buy
(Years of Melee has made fighting games feel quite jaded...)

Fingers crossed for Phoenix Wright though. The fans want it, Capcom wants to deliver it, and they've had some time since TvC to work out a moveset for him. It might finally happen guys.
Also, I fully support God Hand inclusion. That would really be something awesome. Not that pretty much everything Capcom has been doing the past two years hasn't been great.
Sorry, but no MvC3 for you... But TvC2 is guaranteed to be Wii exclusive!
Anyways, 17 characters announced so far. I want Nero and Viewtiful Joe to be officialy announced next. I wonder if Ken is going to be in the game... He wasn't in TvC.

Predictions for Amaterasu's Hyper Specials:
-LV. 1: Holy Inferno Attack (Infinity symbol brush tech.)
-LV. 1: Some insane combo of brush techniques
-LV. 3: "Golden Fury/Brown Rage"
P.S: Does the level consumption rule exist in MvC or was it just TvC?
Gene from God Hand is also on my short list but I figure he's an even bigger long shot.
The shortlist includes Daredevil, Punisher, Ghost Rider, Gene, and Phoenix Wright.

If Phoenix wright doesn't make it in, that is ANOTHER wasted opportunity, and my excitement has died 99.99998374%. I guess I'll still get the game when it's on sale, but I'm sad now

On topic though, the character list is shaping up really nicely. Hopefully Capcom has a few more surprises and more franchises get some love (plus, the Marvel side needs to be less of a sausage fest).
Please bring this to Wii, Capcom, or I'd have to miss out on all this awesomeness T.T

Without Issun I hope... Issun was the one problem I had with Okami. The constant hand holding through the adventure. It was like trying to watch a great movie only to have the douche next to you tell you what's coming up in the next scene over and over again.
Issun bothered me far more than Navi ever will.
You know, if Gregory and Catherine (Gregory Horror Show) or Takeshi (Glass Rose) pop up, I would lose my obscure gamer shit. They won't because of licensing issues, but a man can dream.
All I know is...Fuck the Marvel side. Capcom has too much good shit in this game. What's next? EL FUERTE from SF4? Please. Please.
