I was actually playing Burn Zombie Burn for the first time last night. I couldn't quite get into it, to be honest. Beyond the fact that zombies and twin-stick shooters have overstayed their welcome, there is also few things worse than twin stick shooters that aren't actually using twin-stick controls.
It boggles the mind, really. The actual controls don't feel good at all.
Maybe if I play some more, it will grow on me.

Zamn was such a fucking great game. I got the same vibe from this and its now high on my want list of downloadables. Next to war of the worlds and shank 2.

I felt the same way. I wanted to like BZB but the controls were so primitive I just couldn't stand it. Age of Zombies, with it's 8 direction shooting controls much better.

okay on a serious note ... fuck DoubleSix good job wasting time and money making ANOTHER fucking top down shooter ... i mean seriously theres more top down shooters (let alone ones with zombies) than fucking WW2 FPS's
and with the title i was thinking it was going to be "Orcs Must Die!" but with zombies ... which would have been a fucking amazing game

I actually played AZMD at PAX Prime earlier this year and it really made me hate the game. Maybe it was because the character Jack was being played by a member of Double 6 and leading us through the area/quests and thus my friend and I didn't get to play at our own pace. It may also have been the way the aiming felt poor, weapons were weak, and quests uninspiring. I believe one quest was, in fact, to find a teddy bear for a talking gargoyle statue.
Maybe it's been greatly improved by then, but at PAX I wracked my brain thinking of ways or trying to find moments where I could politely get up and leave. I just didn't want to play it after the first 5 minutes, but the D6 rep kept going on and on. If you're considering playing/buying this, then interpret that how you will.

Wow. I never heard of this game and I love zombie games! I mostly play online flash games like Days 2 Die The Other Side but I think I'll definitely switch to this game soon :).
