Ah yes, the Marines. The Aliens vs. Predator class that is not entirely terrible to play as, but pales in comparison to the fun times you can have controlling an Alien or a Predator. This video is from what has to be an earlier mission in the Marine campaign.
As you're probably aware, there's a bit of a feud going on between Nick and Jim over this game. Nick says AVP sucks, Jim says it does not suck, and I'm here to jump right in the middle of the argument. I think it's a competent shooter with awesome fiction to back it up.
Basically, if you are excited by the sound of the standard Marine rifle firing or the beeps from the motion sensor being identical to how they were presented in the movies, you will like this game.
Jordan Devore is Destructoid's PC gaming manager and founding ginger editor. He is said to be easy to love but difficult to know. When Samit inquired about his curious bio photo Jordan simply replied:
"bitches love sandcastles" ... yet, there is no sandcastle in that photo. We may never truly understand his ways.

You're right, AVP does suck. Aliens vs. Predator is a much better title.
If you ever wanted to have an excuse to be twitchy and on edge for an entire game, the motion tracker is for you.
Also is it possible to scope the marine's rifle?I had trouble seeing what I was shooting. The Predator at least has the focus thing. I understand that the not being able to expertly track you target is probably intentional to make it more tense but choices like that can
walk a fine line.

The only downside to the demo is that it takes a long time to find matches, aside from that the multiple characters is what keeps me going back. Their all good, and if your a good player who is on his toes you will own as a marine. If your looking for a good challenge take marine, if your looking to be a stalker, get the alien and if all you want to do is blow people up, get the predator. Anything you like =]

I jumped out of my seat every time the motion tracker was beeping, ESPECIALLY when I knew the aliens could see me but I could see shit.

being able to play as the Aliens or the Predator is not altogether
different than playing as the Infected in L4D multiplayer.
and it DOES take forever and a day to get a game going.

At first I thought it sucked but once you get a feel for the controls it gets real fun and hectic.
Looks pretty sweet so far.
I've been a fan of this franchise since the PC days can't wait to re experience this franchise again this year.

looks pretty great IMO. for the first time in a long time i think there may be a game with the ability to scare the shit out of me.
I actually found the alien the most annoying to use, too disorienting and kept trying to attack my own tail.
