Yeah, what's going on there. Is this before? After? Will we get to see Newt and Hicks in their cryo sleep chambers and kill them BEFORE they reach the prison planet?

I don't think it's on LV426, it sounds like you're exploring the derelict Sulaco after the cryo tubes are ejected, if I read that right. I think it was just the bank of cryo tubes that landed on the prison colony.

The dropship is in the hangar on the Sulaco. The cryo tubes Hicks, Newt, Ripley, and Bishop were in weren't on the dropship, they were on a different part of the Sulaco and were ejected from it in an escape pod when the facehuggers were detected. The escape pod is responsible for the tragic deaths of Hicks and Newt.
The Allen Dean Foster Aliens novelization (yeah, I'm that hardcore) has Ripley finding Burke in the hive while trying to find newt. Obvious that he's impregnated and going to die soon she gives him a grenade and walks off. I get the feeling gearbox isn't really sticking to cannon but whatever. Shut the fuck up about the game and give us a real trailer already. That E3 trailer was shit tbh.

The Aliens universe doesn't need these devs who claim to be fans dicking up a franchise with their lame wet dream aliens like the crusher, the spiker, the masturbator, the self mutilator, the liar blah fucking blah. Queen, Warriors, Drones Facehuggers and MAYBE Royal Guards if you want to get fancy. The game doesn't need these konami shit aliens like the bat alien.
Is it so much to ask for a solid alien game that doesn't deviate from the source material and stands on it's own atmospheric merits instead of lame gimicks?
Also, personal opinion: gearbox isn't that good of a dev tbh. Borderlands was fairly pedestrian IMO. Everything else they have developed that I've played has failed to entertain.

I remember back when Kenner had an Aliens toy line with a bull alien and a gorilla alien and such. There were jokes that soon there would be an Aliens saturday morning cartoon show.

I used to think that Alien 3 was unneeded garbage but I just recently watched "The Assembly Cut" and it completely changed my opinion of the movie.
Alien 3 is still inferior to Alien and Aliens, but in it's edited form Alien 3 is a pretty good movie. Definitely worth watching if you're a fan of the first two movies.

I'm gonna be pissed if I see Burke running around. It wouldn't make sense for him to escape an alien being right in front of him.
From being a hardcore Aliens fan since the age of 5 (anthology on bluray, all games, all books, all graphic novels), the only real questions are thus:
1. Was there only a hand full of soldiers on the USS Sulaco?
Seriously, this thing could take on the zerg swarm if it was required to do so.
2. HOW THE HELL DID THE FACEHUGGER GET ONTO THE SULACO AND LIVE LONG ENOUGH THAT IT COULD CREATE THAT HORRIBLE MOVIE ALIEN 3?!?!!?
Seriously, those are the only two questions that I have yet to see unanswered and with no plausible assumption based on the alien mythos.
