Well, if it results in a better Alien game, then I suppose its for the best. It would be nice to have a great Alien game.
I wonder if it's a Homefront situation?... where there is financial pressure to release in a certain window?
Maybe they could learn from Homefront... the game could have been great if it had been delayed until it actually worked. They never did manage to patch the PS3 version so that people could easily launch into a game... and more importantly group up with friends and play. :(

Alien would be well-suited for a Dead Space-like kind of gameplay. I'd love to see something like that, with Ripley as the main character. Kind of like the movies, I don't think you grow as attached to the marines as the non-military types.

Exactly Aliens plus Dead Space, throw in pools of acid for when you kill an Alien reminiscent of the Spitter from L4D2, and Alien-style Headcrabs with interesting play mechanics. I mean we have got a good game here.

I had nightmares about Aliens last night. This must have been what they meant. I hope this isn't true.
@JoethePro Yeah but unless you count Tony Hawk 3 on PC, all Gearsbox ever made were first-person shooters.
I just want this game... that's all.. I want to kill Xenomorphs with my friends yelling out cheesy lines from the movie, I've wanted this for 6 damn years. I desperately wish that gearbox and sega would just give us a release date and work a bit harder to achieve it.
