Alan Wake to be a 360, PC exclusive

Alan Wake to be a 360, PC exclusive photo
     Microsoft

Sorry PlayStation 3 fans, more bad news. The anticipated mystery-of-a-mystery game Alan Wake has just been confirmed to be an exclusive for the Xbox 360 and PC (Vista is being pushed here). Now go be like Justin and cry me a river:

The Microsoft connection will also set limits to the Remedy games. Alan Wake will require either the Windows Vista operating system or Microsoft's Xbox 360 gaming console as its platform. The game will not be translated for other consoles. Myllyrinne does not see this as a hindrance. The fact that the game does not have to be translated to all different platforms will simplify and speed up its production.

[Thanks Aetsen]

I can't wait for Alan Wake on the 360. This game has some high potential.

A Microsoft published game isn't coming to the PS3?

UNTHINKABLE!!1

Seriously though, wasn't this already confirmed back at E3 06 when it was announced that MGS was the publisher?

Yes, in fact. It was. Go to 1:08 in this video.

Staple. Hat. Sodomy.

Why do all protagonists in Remedy Games look constipated? Max Payne, A. Wake...

Guess I might have to pick it up on PC rather than my PS3, sigh. But as noted above, this is no reason for me to buy Vista.

For the comment above : "A Microsoft published game isn't coming to the PS3? UNTHINKABLE!! "

MS is publishing the game for Xbox 360 onto DVD.. but this could've been released onto other consoles..

It was REMEDY who developed this game from the ground up

Alan Wake? More like Corey Feldman in: Faux-Hawk Frenzy. Who let the developers watch The Goonies before programming?

I thought the industry was moving away from console exclusives, due to rising costs. Or maybe they realized that no one is buying the PS3.

NO XP, no purchase. I'm not going to spend $200+ on an operating system just to play a damned game. I'd rather go back and play "Max Payne" and "Max Payne 2" again.

Oh yeah, I knew there was a fourth game in my list of games (along with Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed, and Bioshock) that would probably get me to buy a 360 sometime, but I couldn't remember what it was. This is that game.

...wait.
