Alan Wake site returns, possible E3 news hinted photo

You may remember a little Web site called Brightfalls.net, a fan-operated, Remedy-sanctioned news site that, very much like Alan Wake itself, provided interesting things for a while before quickly disappearing into the realm of the forgotten. Well, the site is back online, and some words from a wily community manager has hinted that E3 may be the place where some Wake-related news may finally happen.

The hints went down on the Alan Wake forums, where one poster said that the game would be shown this Monday. While these were the ramblings of one random dude, a response came from a Remedy staff member, who said: "Well, maybe (Brightfalls site lead) ADM has that feeling too, and thus brought back Brightfalls.net ;-)." Oh, that little winking emoticon, what secrets do you hold?

Does anybody still give a buggering fluck about Alan Wake? If so, then keep an eye on the Microsoft press conference this Monday. Something might happen. Or it might not.

Alan Wake's a game about a writer who takes a vacation to a resort town, right? Thriller (read: not actually as thrilling as horror) type moments ensue?

Yeah, that'll fucking fly off shelves...

This would be one of the very few things at E3 I would be interested if they showed something. Couldn't give two shits about 90% of the other stuff at E3.

What the heck even is Alan Wake!?! Is it a platformer, an RPG, a new type of microwave, I have no idea. The only news I ever hear about it is there is no news about it!

All I can gather is that a developer once said that there would be a game called Alan Wake, and it would be good. It makes me wonder what the heck people in these Alan Wake forums talk about. What game they're not playing and know nothing of?

I was excited about Alan Wake a few years ago, when I was high off Indigo Prophecy.

If this is at E3, I might even skip it on purpose and play Heavy Rain 3 times.

Alan Wake was a 'Eh' game for me. Until I saw it was by Remedy, of Max Payne fame.

Now I'm all about that. Like a Flamingo in a mental hospital.

Yep, I'm also still very much looking forward to this game. I liked the Max Payne games, so I trust Remedy to know what they're doing, but just the concept sounds like pure awesome sauce.
