I just hope he's not the paper doll he can be in the original game. Thats going to make for a bunch of frustration in a mode like this.

Alan Wake was awesome, bought the collectors edition game and guide yet somehow it remains unfinished....

Looking back on 2010, I cannot think of a more underappreciated game than Alan Wake....
Virtually zero media coverage of that game before launch and it was objectively more engrossing of a story and with more stylish and inventive game mechanics than ANY of the major FPS titles released last year. It actually tried to do something different with a game and, thank god, enough people (though not as many as it deserved it my opinion) liked it to give Remedy enough good vibes and dough to go make more and expand upon the universe.
Maybe the most entertaining DLC I've had in a long fucking time too....Because it legitimately added to the story and was worth the not-overly-exorbitant price of $5 that I paid for each of the two - The signal and the Writer.

Alan Wake's combat was a joy to play, although by the end of the last DLC chapter I found myself wanting some new weapons and enemies, which is exactly what this sequel offers. Sold, day one. Hopefully it'll be successful enough they'll produce more chapters.
