Alan Wake original score available now photo

The original score to the Xbox 360 game Alan Wake was composed by Petri Alanko. He chose a romantic score for a physchological thriller. Ballsy, that was. I take my hat off to him for the effort.

Should you want to enjoy his score on your own, know that the Alan Wake Original Score will be available on July 20th at both retail outlets and online. I have a link for the release on Sumthing Digital's website, but the files are not yet available for purchase. You can check back here on the 20th. In the meantime, all the demos are stream-able, so feel free to get a sneak peek.

Amazon also has a pre-order page up for the actual disc.

I thought Alan Wake's soundtrack was very ambient... but not exactly something I'd buy.
If it included all the 'credits' music, though, that'd sweeten the deal.

Hmmm sounds like a good offer, but I'm still kinda trying to make sense of the ending of Alan Wake. I'll get that straight before I go for this. The story is very unique from any I've ever seen.

Man, the original score and licensed titles were so good. Remedy knows how to create an experience with their music. Alan Wake is their finest example of this to date. I shall buy this.

Oh, and Alan Wake 2, please!

Really? All of the licensed songs were absolutely trash.

Wish it included both. The score was ok, but any soundtrack that contains licensed Barry Adamson is tops in my book.

RogueEpidemic:

If by "trash", you mean really fucking good, then yes, "trash"!

Cool! I'm just playing Alan Wake now and I'm enjoying the low-key soundtrack, it fits really well with the mood. Thanks for the head's up.
