Akira Yamaoka creating an exclusive track for Murasaki Baby

Akira Yamaoka, Silent Hill soundtrack wizard and all-around awesome composer (Snatcher, Killer is Dead, and many others) has created an exclusive music track for the upcoming side-scrolling game Murasaki Baby. Yamaoka paired with developer Ovosonico music producer and co-founder Gianni Ricciardi to create the weird and unique track.

Murasaki Baby will find players leading titular character Baby through a surrealistic landscape full of horrors to find her mother. The game has four chapters each with a different mood. The mood system will be integral to gameplay, as each mood grants the player a different ability which affects Baby's reality and can be used to solve puzzles.

Murasaki Baby is exclusive to PlayStation Vita and will release in September 2014.

Review: Gunman Clive 2

I don't think anyone, including the game's creator, expected Gunman Clive to be such a massive hit. As an homage to retro platformers it was a joy to play, and the ridiculously cheap base price made it easy to take the plunge. Gunman Clive 2 delivers pretty much everything you'd want out of a sequel, even if it doesn't push the envelope.more

1996-style shooter Strafe looks like the start of something great

I've greatly enjoyed the promotional work that's gone into Strafe, also known as STRAFE®, also known as "the goriest shooter of 1996." But beyond the head-exploding live-action throwback trailer, wonderful as that was (h...more
