Pardon my all caps excitement, but I am a huge fan of the three main Jak and Daxter games on the PlayStation 2, and if Naughty Dog's Game Director Justin Richmond is to be believed, an HD compilation of the successful PS2 trilogy could be coming to the PlayStation 3 sometime next year.

Revealing the information during a recent Uncharted 3 press conference in Oslo, Richmond let slip a Jak and Daxter HD collection will be headed to the PlayStation 3 in 2012.

With all the high-def remakes of classic games coming out recently (ICO, Shadow of the Colossus, Resident Evil 4, God of War, etc.), I was hoping that the Jak and Daxter games would eventually make the slick double jump to HD.

Well, it looks like they finally are. And I couldn't be more excited.
