The Destructoid community has long been following the development of user Agent MOO's game, Agent MOO: Maximum Overdeath, for a very long time now. Today, the game sees its release on Xbox Live's Indie Games channel.
The 2D deathmatch shooter features multiplayer for up to sixteen combatants, 4-player local split-screen play and five maps. You can rain death on your enemies using either your potent armament or by running enemies over in the game's vehicles. It even has seventeen playable characters -- including our very own Mr. Destructoid, who even appears on the game's cover art (!) -- and a soundtrack by Dtoider GuitarAtomik's musical project, I KILL PXLS. Awesome.
The game is available for 240 Microsoft spacebucks. I would heartily suggest everyone run to their consoles -- or this handy link -- and support it. If you're hesitant (you fool!), you can check out a trailer of the game here.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
I'll be downloading that tonight. I hope I still don't suck at jumping.
:(
But seriously, sorry I'm gonna steal your sales.
Speaking of that, I'm considering hosting that this Friday for Friday Night Fights. Interested? Let me know in this thread so I can commit to hosting it if I find that people are interested in it.
:-D
^___^
I purchased it on xbox live at work this morning.
Sure it isn't perfect or the best game ever but I can see myself having a lot of fun with it on FNF and whatnot!
I had the 240 MS points. I had to have the pudding.
MS won't allow online play in trials. It's not MOO's fault.
The best thing I can really say about it is that at least you finished it, sort of. Some of the messages that come up when someone dies are funny, but they obscure the playfield and go by so fast that you probably wouldn't see them if you were having a good time and playing the game. Which you won't unless you actively hate fun.
But seriously, congratulations on making the worst game I've played on xbox indie arcade and having the balls to charge $3 for it.
Have you ever played the full version? No? Then shut the fuck up. I've played the game online during development, and on Moo's 360 when he brought it to the Baltimore NARP at the beginning of May. It's a lot of fun to play with friends, but judging from how you ask for things for free and then criticize them without having played the full version, I'd be surprised if you knew anyone who could actually tolerate you for more than 5 minutes to get a real game in.
