Age of Zombies free on Amazon app store photo

Age of Zombies, a mobile port from the PSP, is free today on the Amazon Apps Store for all Android users and is a nice counterpart to the free iOS app that was also announced for today. Keep in mind a wi-fi connection is required to download the game, so even if you snag it using your carrier's data package, you may have to wait to actually get it onto your phone.

The mobile version of Age of Zombies doesn't have the tightest control but it is free, and still fun.  You play as a man named Barry Steakfries, in a game that does not take itself seriously at all, killing cavemen, dinosaurs, mummies and ninjas that have all been turned into zombies. I'm not sure I would have paid for this, but it is certainly enjoyable for the zero dollars I spent.

Final Fantasy: Record Keeper is another free-to-play game in the same vein, but it's a much better effort that doesn't feel straight-up insulting to fans.more

Review: Jump'N'Shoot Attack

Four Christmases ago, I joined the smartphone brigade when I found an iPhone 4S nestled under the tree. Oh boy! I thought. Now I can grab all those iOS games that people can't shut up about! And for a couple of years, I was a...more

Review: Game of Thrones: A Telltale Game Series: The Sword in the Darkness

Telltale seems to be getting into the swing of things with Game of Thrones, in more ways than one. For starters, it only took seven weeks since the last episode for this one to come out. If Telltale can keep up that pace, the...more
