That's good to see. Remember the old days when they'd call a game an "arcade-perfect port" or some related nonsense? Bullsh*t, every time. The PS1 and Sega Saturn days had the worst offenders. I think one of the Virtua Fighters was one of the first I saw that made me think they were right for the first time. They were f'n liars before that.
They dont' even say that anymore. Isn't that sad? It's still a selling point to me, though. After Burner Climax's console trailer could say that and be accurate, as it looks as "pixel-perfect" as they come. Shiny water, smoky missiles, skylines light by twilight. Beautiful. Now we know it's coming to the US and EU.
I like the idea that you can spend $50-60 and get an arcade game at home. I kind of miss that, as you only see that in fighting games these days.

That looks really sweet and clean but I'll be damned if I shell out $60 for this. $39 would be a considering price point as I don't imagine the game to be to gripping in terms of story or length.
looks pretty and everything, but $50 to $60 bucks??? it says xbox live arcade in the logo shot, so, i can't see it costing that much. i hope not. but hey, i've been to amsterdam, i dropped 30 euro, on things that didn't look 1/10 as pretty as this game. over and over.. "ROXANNE!!!!!!!"
Why did you throw the 50-60 dollar price point out there, Dale?
If it's an XBLA/PSN game, the most it will cost is 15. 15 is the highest I've ever seen for an XBLA game, which is perfectly reasonable for this. Although I'd definately pay 50 for a physical copy with a flight stick.
Love arcade games and love shmups, but it's the first time I hear bout this game. But 60 bucks for this one is too much for me. Considering it'll cost like 80 bucks in russian fascist federation.
That trailer contains a pants-tightening amount of "do want".
Also, to the people who are freaking out about the $50-60, its only going to be like $10.

One of the better arcade games still in my opinion, the tilting chair was awesome!

That, my friends, is a steal.
But enough about that, effin' After Burner Climax! I'll buy it three times!
Also, to the people who are freaking out about the $50-60, its only going to be like $10.
Will buy.
