Level-5 already treated us with Liberation Maiden, and now another of the Guild01 games is headed our way later this month. Aero Porter, an airport management puzzler, comes out on November 29 in North America and Europe on Nintendo's 3DS eShop, priced at $4.99.

This game comes from game designer Yoot Saito, the brain behind some of the more unique titles of our past, like Seaman and Odama.

Aero Porter will have you managing airport in a cross between a sim and a puzzle game. You'll oversee flights, luggage, and departures to earn money that will let you expand the airport. Design and share your plane via StreetPass functionality.

We've got one more Guild01 game coming after this. Stay tuned.

Review: Aero Porter

A videogame is a thing that asks you to do a series of tasks in order to meet arbitrary goals that were established by someone else. Videogames are things that most of us partake in for "fun," regardless of how difficult the ...more

Seaman creator made Aero Porter as accessible as possible

The latest game from Odama and Seaman creator Yoot Saito is Aero Porter, and it's all about luggage. When I first heard about this thing, my instincts told me it would end up being a Frog Fractions-style troll post. There wa...more

Those three Guild 01 games are leaving Japan via eShop

As briefly mentioned in our post about this year's upcoming 3DS eShop release schedule, Level-5 has partnered with three high-profile Japanese designers on three separate games all due out this fall. Yes, the games of Guild ...more

'Dual' is a really cool mobile shoot 'em up that functions over two devices

The other day I ran across a newly released shooter for iOS and Android called Dual. The whole gimmick is that it uses two devices to function, with a screen that spans between them. By forming a tenuous Voltron-esque link you can play two modes, versus and co-op. Although it is a free download, thankfully, only one person needs to buy the premium version ($1.99) to play the latter mode.more

Review: Crimzon Clover World Ignition

Every so often, something will come across my desk that I completely overlooked at the time. Valdis Story: Abyssal City was a perfect example of that. For a while now readers have been asking about Crimzon Clover World Ignition, and I finally set aside the time to play it. That ended up being a good choice.more

The joy of bullet hell

Shoot-'em-ups started innocently enough. Spacewar blasted its way onto computers back in the 1960s, and after Space Invaders was released, the rest was history. Galaga and Galaxian would go on to further popularize the genre,...more
