Earlier today, I posted my beta impressions of Gears of War 3. While I did my best to give you all the important news, I withheld one bit of vital information, deciding it was so important it deserved a full news post.
Adventure Time has ruined Gears of War 3.
We all know that John DiMaggio, the voice of Marcus Fenix, also plays Bender in Futurama. For some reason, I never found that a problem. DiMaggio is especially talented in that he can make similarly gruff, grizzly voices sound different from each other. As such, I never really heard Bender in Marcus, or Marcus in Bender.
However, when Marcus Fenix shouts, he sounds exactly like Adventure Time's Jake the Dog, and it's thoroughly disturbing. Of course, it's my fault for being obsessed with Adventure Time, but hearing Jake the Dog in the blood-soaked, brutal universe of Gears has totally thrown me off.
Of course, I also have to confess that it's kind of f*cking awesome, too.
C'mon, grab your friends,
We'll go to very distant Lands
With Jake the Dog,
And Finn the Human,
The Adventures'll never end,
It's Adventure Time!
christ
then everything got INTENSE.
SOCOM 4 it is!
I was thinking about brushing Gears 3 off.... but now that you've made the association with Adventure Time I am sold!
Yes.
Seriously now.
Haha, agreed. Not sure what my Master Shake was doing in Chowder.
SOCOM 4 it is!
@mrandydixon i laugh so hard after that dont know why lol!!!!
that is all.
Funny shit.
Also, Adventure Time is possibly the greatest show currently on television. I'm going to at art exhibit with the show's artists and the creator, Pendleton Ward, tomorrow.
zzzzzzzz......zzzzzz..... Wha???.....you moaning again?
I can only picture how hilarious the GoW3 thing is.
Cool storying comparing Adventure Time to an anime series bro.

Dunno man. Makes perfect sense to me.
He always moans. Move along @ScrappyDoo, move along.
And you are right, he does sound like Jake when he screams...and there's nothing wrong with that. It's freakin amazing.
Also, if you knew this, then I apologize for stating the obvious.
Apology accepted.
