This morning's Nintendo Direct presentation from Japan brought lots of news and release details, but none of them made me squeal like the Bravely Default: Flying Fairy demonstration did. This bit, shown above, shows off hints of how character customization and abilities will work. The uniform changes are so cute that I gasped aloud, and then looked around to see if anyone noticed. The dress with the ears!
The video also shows off the equally cute battle system. Brave Points can be pumped into characters to bring about some awesome attacks. Be sure to stay tuned through the very end, where you'll see a summon attack that has a flaming train with a gaping, fiery maw rushing down the tracks. Holy sh*t!
Japan gets Bravely Default: Flying Fairy later this year. Us? Still waiting on that, sadly.
