Actor Shia La Beouf calls the Wii an 'amateur console' photo

Looks like actor Shia La Beouf has no idea what the phrase "wrath of a Nintendo fanboy" means. Kotaku reports that in a recent interview with Big Download, La Beouf (a self proclaimed gamer) had some snarky things to say about Nintendo's little bundle of joy:

(BD) Have you checked out the Wii Transformers game?

(SL) I haven't been able to play the Wii game because my hand is broken. I've just been playing Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. I would imagine that the Wii experience will be like...I don't mess with the Wii, to be honest with you. It's kind of an amateur console. I'm not into the Wii thing.

(BD)What's wrong with the Wii?

(SL)This is how in a simple way you can find out if it's a gamer you want to play with. Ask them if they have a Wii. If they say yes, get the f*** out of there.

Judgemental much, Le Beouf? He also mentions he passes up playing the Wii version of Lego Star Wars with Megan Fox because he'd rather "eat glass." By the way, passing up doing anything with Megan Fox kind of makes YOU the loser, buddy.

Shia doesn't know shit about games anyways, I remember him talking about Spielberg being on "level 15" of BioShock, unable to defeat a "mysterious spider-god". That said, I would much rather play a game on my 360 or PS3 than my Wii, though I'd be an idiot to dismiss the whole console.

Amazing to see how gamers like to separate each other. I don't care what console you have even if I don't enjoy it as much as others but I guess I'm too busy playing games to care about that sort of thing. If someone asks me to play a game I don't care what console it's on I play the thing. God I play the HELL out of that thing! Sorry I got distracted what were we playing again?

I mean, hating a machine for making your parent, non-gaming friends and grandmother have fun is just plain retarded. Besides, I don't think dry humping before cameras an embarrassed Megan Fox outside of the takes doesn't qualify as having sex. I didn't see any of his movies, so I might be a little off here.

Yeah, the choice to eat glass instead of hanging out with Megan Fox blew me away. Maybe he doesn't care for Lego Star Wars, and we have no idea what Megan's actual personality is like... but sometimes it's worth making the sacrifice to be social instead of just throwing out awkward interview comments about what you *don't* like.

Huh? He's fucking her in real life dumbass, I'm hardly meaning in a film.

Anyways I said the exact same thing yesterday on the blogs about difficulty with regards to getting new people into games. Still, it doesn't mean I - my own personal view - want to play the computer with said parents or old fogeys. And what i said was true, MOST people I know that own a wii are what I said and they only bought it for wii-fit.

My girlfriend tells me that Shia La Beouf also ruined the Constantine movie, being an eighteen year-old playing a gruff forty-something, so if you need more ammo to throw at him you can always use that!

Though I really liked Indiana Jones 4. And Transformers. I actually like the guys acting, but he has some real douchey opinions on him.

The first part, I agree with. The second part, not so much. I mean, Nintendo markets it as an amateur console (in a sense), and they do little to discourage that label with the quality of most of the console's games.

While I would normally agree, he spends a lot of time with her on set with the movie and probably off set a little too. I know people think of Megan Fox as this perfect woman, but I'm sure she isn't and has faults just like everyone else, as much as you don't want to think about it because of your fantasy about her, its true. She's probably annoying at times and going from working with her all day and then gaming as well maybe is to much for him. No matter how attractive a woman is if she's being bitchy no one wants to be around her for an extended period of time.

I think TRUE gamers would give the Wii a chance and play all the hidden gems that exists within it's game library. Or you could always crawl back to your GTA's and Halo's.
