Evil publisher Activision has laid out its nefarious plan to make Modern Warfare 2 the best selling game of all time. Since Activision routinely sacrifices lambs and children to satisfy bargains with the Old Gods, it will likely get what it wants, too.
"Each year the Call of Duty franchise goes from strength-to-strength," said brand manager and thrall Simon Wells. "We want to propel this year's title to be the biggest selling video game of all time. That may raise some eyebrows, but step back and look at the franchise's trajectory through preceding launches, and this objective starts to look viable."
Not only does the diabolical publisher hope to crush its competition in the gaming sector, Modern Warfare 2 is also expected to beat out all other forms of media too, becoming the hottest entertainment property of the year. According to Wells, MW2 is "competing directly with entertainment propositions outside of the video game space."
With a new Harry Potter film due out this year, expect Daniel Radcliffe to have been killed in a fatal "accident" before the year's end.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
(2 year old games are not worth $60)
Beating W@W on Veteran is a lot harder than beating CoD 4 on Veteran. I've beat all CoD games on Vet so far and W@W was the biggest pain in the ass. Hang in there, you can do it!
I personally love the first one, sure the online mode was a bit of a grindfest, but it was extremely intense, fast paced and as devilishly addicting. Not to mention wasting entire teams was a favorite pastime of mine. ;)
Not to worry Activision, I will be one of the people who will contribute to it selling like mad.
People who bought or wanted to buy W@W + People who only buy the Infinity Ward CODs = more people who have ever bought a game, ever.
