Whoa -- stop the presses. (I always wanted to write that.) Activision changed Modern Warfare 2’s logo. The image above is what Activision’s, er, slightly different version of the highly anticipated game’s logo. You can see the old busted up joint in the gallery.
So what’s different? There isn’t so much blur in the new logo.
I know what you’re thinking. But that’s so stupid, Brad. Well, it’s not. Before Activision stepped in with this brilliant makeover, I wasn’t able to read the old logo. I totally thought it was a teaser image for Splinter Cell: Conviction. Now I can clearly make out the words “Modern Warfart.” I still don’t know what that yellow thing is in the background, but I’m betting that Activision will tell us more in the near future. Hopefully.

Is this still part of the Call of Duty series or are the completly ditching the CoD branding now?

Lame Joke or stupid typo taking all bets.
The important thing is that Infinity ward, one of the BEST FPS developers around, are making this version of COD. Every single COD game they made so far has been simply amazing. Especially 4.
It will be a long wait till the game is released this year.
