If you like to see evil publisher Activision getting what it deserves for its greed and hubris, then this is the story for you. The LA Times is reporting that the nefarious company is getting "little to not compensation" in the Brütal Legend settlement, which is fine by me.

The news comes from an anonymous informant that details how and why Activision lost out after acting like a possessive ex-husband and trying to get Brütal Legend back. According to the informant, "it appears very likely that Activision received little to no compensation from Double Fine and agreed to a settlement to avoid losing its case in open court."

Good.

Ghosts was a giant disappointment but man Advanced Warfare is looking really good. I'm mostly interested in the multiplayer at this point, but the single-player looks like it will be worth it this time around too.  The latest video for the new Call of Duty focuses on San Francisco, showing off a chase and the eventual destruction of the famous Golden Gate Bridge. more

Well look at that. Sierra is back from the dead. Activision is reviving the label, with a focus on indie development. It'll host new IPs and re-imaginings of beloved classics. In this case there's a new King's Quest coming in...more
