Activision getting barely anything in Brutal Legend suit photo

If you like to see evil publisher Activision getting what it deserves for its greed and hubris, then this is the story for you. The LA Times is reporting that the nefarious company is getting "little to not compensation" in the Brütal Legend settlement, which is fine by me.

The news comes from an anonymous informant that details how and why Activision lost out after acting like a possessive ex-husband and trying to get Brütal Legend back. According to the informant, "it appears very likely that Activision received little to no compensation from Double Fine and agreed to a settlement to avoid losing its case in open court."

Good.

Activision lawyers are closet Schafer fans confirmed!

So glad to see EA was not overly penalized for saving this game. Bring on Rocktober already! Wish they'd move it up to Rocktember.

Hey, there's no censoring in the header. Is it because this is a special occasion that proves that Activision isn't an overpowered company that always gets what they want? Because that's alright with me.

Maybe they get like... $1 per game sold. I could live with that but strangely I don't want to. Activision is the emodiment of evil. I hope they and Microsoft burn and downfall. Yeah, I said it.

If you’d told people a few years ago that someday you were going to root for EA in a court battle they’d have called you a crazy person. Suddenly Activision has changed all that by acting like a total ass. I hope they learn something like this but I’ve got a feeling they won’t even bother.

Ha. Serves them right. I don't recall ever hearing of something like this happening before Activision pulled it. Kinda wish it could have gone before a judge, just to see Activision get bitch slapped by the law.

I think the more companies like this swing their corperate dicks around, the more likely it is that their dicks will swing right back and smack them in the face.

Splendid news!

Now if in a few months we hear that Tim Schafer and company made good money off it, then I say it's a great ending to all this.

Activision can keep on whoring Guitar Hero, and let other studios make better games.

What the...you censored it? B-but, Activision didn't have their way for once. That alone is enough of an excuse to ignore the existance of censorship this once. You a hater, Jim. :(
