Kissin' ladies, fightin' monsters, and usin' apostrophes

I've somehow missed Bound by Flame's very existence over the past six months. Maybe you have, too. I'm not sure if my eyes glaze over at fantasy action RPGs (that aren't Dark Souls or Witcher) or I just missed it. At least it doesn't have a name like Lords of the Fallen. Bound by Flame reminds me of Down by Law, which you should all see.

Anyway, this trailer shows off what you would expect from a fantasy action game. Crafting. Magic. Various weapon types. A gruff, bearded protagonist who has the powers of a fire demon. A sad looking lady you get to kiss.

Developer Spiders Studio has a post up on the PlayStation Blog detailing the the flame game, which is coming to PS3, 360, PC and PS4 in Q2 of 2014, if you're looking for more information. Like Lords of the Fallen, they also promise to be a challenging game where every encounter matters. Thank you, Dark Souls, for working to end hack and slash action games.
