Access your Xbox Live account from your iPhone photo

If you can't get enough of Xbox Live and cry every time you have to leave the house, then you are in luck! A new App has been made available for the iPhone which allows you to manage your Xbox Live profile on the go, granting you the sacred power to accept friend requests, see who's online and send messages.

360 Live is currently priced at $1.99, but Microsoft once declared that any App that takes advantage of Xbox Live should be free, so that price tag could disappear. It's recommended you wait and see if you can get this for free before spending that massive amount of money.

I can't personally imagine ever needing that much access to Xbox Live, but this is still a useful little application for those who are completely obsessed.

This would possibly be relevant if it was the whole compettiony thing about it, arranging times and dates etc.
But since XBL doesn't have clan support, I don't see the point.

I've been using a free app called 1337pwn (I know, I know....). It lets you see your friends list, who is online, what they are/were playing, and you can send them a message and do friend requests. It comes in handy every now and then, and it looks like they have 2 different styles to choose from.

Live works perfectly over the browser. Why would I pay for this? I can monitor my friend requests, buy shit on XBLM, add points, whatever. What does this do that the browser can't?

Also 1337pwn works just fine filling the purpose of stats tracking and Friend monitoring.

Unless this is a MS created app I fail to see why anyone should have to pay for it.

since everything on the APP can be done on Xbox.com, I see charging for this as a big bag of steaming fail. Oh well, nerds will pay for it.

It should be free if it isn't then I see no reason of getting it.

What BluDesign and CRKFIEND said. 1337pwn has its problems, but it works most of the time, and Safari works just fine. Unless this one becomes free, it's worthless.

A lot of time the best way to contact my friends is through the Xbox messaging system, so it MIGHT be useful.
But I can always go on Xbox.com and send a message, so I don't really see the point.
Also, this should be free.

And anyone who has shame over a free app called 1337pwn... I've seen most of your gamertags. You're hypocrites.

I'm not obsessed!...Much!

I'd only use it for those times that I'm doing something else away from the Xbox (maybe watching TV, eating foods, etc) to see if a friend that I wanted to play a game with was online. Why I wouldn't just use the internet on my iTouch is beyond me.

Can't imagine Steve Ballmer will be too chuffed about this.

All I need is an app to tell me which of my friends are online and on what console.

It would make planning multiplayer sessions easier!

I just searched for this on the App store, and it looks like it isn't an official M$ app. It was just made by some dude... which means it'll likely be free after a week or two of no sales.

There have been apps that do this for a long time. Free ones, at that.

Ha...Jim, Jim, Jim...so incurable is your optimism that it's given you cataracts, I see.

MICROSOFT??! Making an item priced $1.99 FREE??!

Thanks. I needed a good hoot. You're always there for me when I need you.
