AC Revelations to wrap up Ezio, Altair storylines photo

Game Informer has kicked off its Assassin's Creed Revelations coverage with a massive three-part video interview with the game's creative director, Alexandre Amancio.

According to Amancio, Ubisoft is looking to put a pretty little bow on the stories of both Ezio and Altair with the upcoming title. That means all of your burning questions (my biggest one being a candid "What the f**k?") will be answered.

"This game is where we're setting the record straight," he explains. "We're closing all the loops that have been started, [those] that have been left in suspense. And we're going to reveal no only a lot of stuff about the first civilization plotline, but we're also going to conclude the Ezio and Altair storylines."

More importantly for fans waiting for the next "true" installment of the series, it also means we'll see an all new character focus in Assassin's Creed 3.

Game Informer's got the lock on Assassin's Creed Revelations info for a bit, but we'll have more as we lead into E3 where we'll get a chance to see the game in action.

That would be appreciated. Kind of getting tired of following these guys. It's time for a Swedish assassin! Or a Japanese one! Or an African one! So many possibilities!

i thought this was a trilogy with Ezio story ending at 3? guess leaving Patrice has cause some problems in the series. still cannot wait for Ezio and Altair in one game :D

always wanted to play Altair once more in a proper AC game.

oh as for ACIII, please don't announce anything 2-3 years from now.

instead concentrate more on the sequel of Prince of Persia 2008 with the same artstyle and VA. Nolan North is amazing in that game :P

I still prefer Altair. In my view Ezio was just a bit of a...pussy

Hell yes. AC will be the only franchise in the history of games that is properly milked. Loved AC1, came everywhere after finishing AC2 and adored ACB. 3 for 3 ubi, let's make it 4 for 4.

@Alex... Incredible fail. Ezio is one of the greatest main characters to ever be featured in a game. How the fuck is he a pussy?

As long as Ubisoft remains fresh and inventive with each iteration of Assassins Creed, you can almost guarantee I'll purchase them. Unless they're like AC1. That game was just.. ugh.

As long as these characters get finished and we're definitely getting something new with 3, then I'll be content with this game. I'm probably not going to buy it, but at least I'll know my waiting will pay off.

@MichMaster,

Glad to hear someone else agrees with me. Ezio is pretty much as close to perfect as you can get. The AC team should be applauded endlessly for creating such an interesting and engrossing character.

If the next one isn't a new main charcter, I'll be really annoyed. I think time period (or at some point) they do the founding of America.

Didn't they say that with Assassin's Creed Brotherhood? I like Ezio and Altair, but for God's sake this is getting annoying.

Wait, Ezio's story wasn't wrapped up in Brotherhood? Or AC2 for that matter?

I liked Ezio's storyline, his journey 'n such, but I just never quite found him as intimidating as Altair. Perhaps this is only because I haven't played Brotherhood yet, but he just doesn't command as much fear IMO. Altair had all this mystery surrounding him, and maybe it was because we saw Ezio's earlier years that gave away the "cat out of the bag," so to speak.

Thank God. I liked AC1, loved AC2, but Brotherhood came out so fast the series started to wear thin for me. I really wish they'd just go to the next timeframe and a new main character to make it fresh again.

AC2 was awesome, Ezio was awesome, gameplay was awesome. However, I didn't enjoy AssBro nearly as much as its forebear. It was just lacking character for me, and a very obvious cash-in. Don't get me wrong, it was fun, but the characters weren't developed in any meaningful way.

Also, fuck yeah for a Victorian London setting! Assassin with a top hat, plox.

I don't like how you said "true instalment". It was all part of the story. Brotherhood was still part of the main story and go play it before you say anything!!

Not that I have anything against Ezio but still, It really feels like Ubisoft is just stalling for the 3rd game.

And considering how alow paste and how little actual important storyline there usually are in the game I think it's uneccesary.

It looks stupid having
AC 1
AC 2
AC 2.1
AC 2.2
AC 3 (Hopefully)

Or maybe they'll make Assassins Creed: Desmonds chronicles. WTF do i know.

I'm still kinda shocked by how quickly and efficiently Ubisoft drove such a fresh and exciting franchise right into the ground.

I'm glad they're actually going to acknowledge that they have a ton of plot holes and are going to close them up.
