Aban Hawkins & the 1,001 Spikes coming to eShop, Wii U
Despite the oh-so-punishing nature of Aban Hawkins & the 1,000 Spikes, it's still one of my favorite games to grace the Xbox Live Indie Games channel. Against all odds, the title is being reworked for release on both the 3DS eShop and the Wii U with a little help from Nicalis. Aban Hawkins & the 1,001 Spikes is an expanded version which reportedly features new graphics, art, music, sound, and four-person local multiplayer. Welp, I'll be double dipping. The game will be out first on the eShop this year, followed by the Wii U release potentially around the time that platform launches. Awesome news all around. Now let's make this a success so Nicalis picks up The Tempura of the Dead. [iDÉAME12] 1001 Spikes es lo nuevo de Nicalis para Wii U y 3DS [Revo Gamers via GoNintendo] Did you know? Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)If only the audio wasn't like grating my eardrum with a cheese grater, I'd love it too.
Guess I should fix my xbox to PC connection and pay music over it. eShop be bang'n. I got 12 games already, and that's not even including the ambassador games. I still got plenty of stuff left to buy too. Nintendo needs to add folders to the 3DS OS. I've got like 45 games downloaded now. This looks like another great addition. I never finished Aban Hawkins. I got to the second set of levels and got too frustrated to continue. I will buy this just to increase the chances of us getting Tempura of the Dead. Easily the greatest concept for a videogame ever. What tsp said. I have too much shit on that thing now. Definitely buying this. Loves it. It will be nice to have on the go. Tempura would be a godsend. Well good luck to them. Btw, if the WiiU games network is brand new, the company really need to port everything released so far on the WiiWare and Virtual Console on there. Come on Nintendo, it's easy money. People will actually re-buy all the Zeldas and Marios just because there are that dedicated to Nintendo, so why not keep the momentum going? And put Contra, Castlevania Bloodlines and Earthbound on there!!! 9:30 PM on 05.21.2013 A bear will stare at you in 3DHow is the Xbox One going to sell in Japan? If the new console's version of Kinect is anything like the current version of the peripheral, then probably not too good. Not to sound racist, but Japanese living rooms aren't know...

We haven't heard anything from Nicalis about their forthcoming 3DS/Wii U/and-maybe-other-consoles title Aban Hawkins and the 1,001 Spikes in a while. That's probably because they've been busy with stuff like Ikachan, Guxt, Ra...more

Aban Hawkins and 1,000 Spikes (by 8BitsFanatics) didn't get a fair shake. The game is better than 99% of the stuff on the Xbox Live Arcade marketplace, but sadly, that's not where it even ended up. Instead, it launched on XB...more
