Five meters long. Over 5,000 characters. Zomg, burrito.
This has to be, without a doubt, the largest Nintendo fan art tribute ever created. This epic piece was created by TeamLando, 20-year-olds Mange and Viggo, twin brothers from Sweden. The two started on this piece back in 1999 and have been working on it on and off up until 2005. Now that doesn't mean the piece is finished though. They have plans on working on it again and adding all types of videogame characters, not just Nintendo ones either. After all, this is only five meters of a 30 meter roll of paper so they have plenty of space to fill up.
Although the main focus of this Art Attack Friday is on the longest Nintendo fan art piece, TeamLando has also done plenty of other work which you can check out in full at their Deviant. Most of which is pencil art but there are also a couple of custom case designs done too. The Fooly Cooly one is simply fantastic.
So what do you think about the Nintendo scroll here? Impressive as hell no? Make sure to hit the gallery so you can see everything up close and personal.
[Update: Added some better zoomed in shots of the Nintendo piece. Check them out!]

Hamza Aziz, Destructoid's Community Director, has been here since day one. He was born when a tiger coughed up a hairball into a pool of ooze. He was one of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles before budget cuts. Hamza works as a previews editor and manages a team in San Francisco. To date he has given away tens of thousands of dollars in prizes to readers. What a dick. Actually, Hamza is as kind as he is hairy.

i saw on the post a while ago that there is 1 character repeated, screw Waldo find that, i know I haven't
To all the people who's trying to find the character repeated, he's in there alright, pretty far down really, but he's apperaing in his original color, and the repeated one is painted black (Rolling stones style) because he wouldn't be as visible then :D
And oh yeah, all y' people who think my artwork is kinda poor, Orionsaint mostly then eh, damn guys, I totally agree, shit damn, the lower parts are totally and utterly worthless.
But I was 12 years old when I started out and I think that I've developed adecent skill since then, many people tend to see that development ass the scroll goes upwards.
And no, it's not Samus, she's in there twice with her regular suit and her Fusion suit, the regular suit being SA-X! (yeah we came up with that excuse afterwards)
Cloudiroth: Yeah it does, cause I couldn't cut it exatcly on the horizontial one, the vertical one however, does not repeat! :D
S0lesurvivor: Yeah, but I-no already has a guitar, no challenge right?
Dryvby: Right, thanks man, no prob.
Das Inchworm Ranked AOL User: Sorry, we havn't done one, yet, shit prolly wont. Tried once and just got part Super Mario world before it gort boring xD
Falinter: Yup, AC took hellova lot of space, but check out POkémon, that's the longest section.
Nice dude. Nonetheless, one hell of a picture! I just might spend all day trying to go through & see who I can recognize.
Cloudiroth: Haha, go at it, there should be a bunch for gamers to recognise in this piece :P
The charcter repeated twice is kinda low down on the scroll, and not a major character :D Seriosuly tho, I dunno if you can make him out on these out-zoomed pics. I mailed hamza some more zoomed in ones, check back later and go at it xD
I'm sorry, man, but it just doesn't look good. Art should at least look like the thing it's suppose to be, but then again, I'm not an art fanatic. Nice try, though.
I do, however, think that the later part, kindda, atleast, looks like the things they're trying to depict :P
