A word from L.O.G. on Nuts & Bolts' forthcoming DLC photo

Saying that I weep nightly for the criminally unplayed Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts is a serious understatement. I mean, hell, the game was on sale for a mere $20 -- at that point, there are very few acceptable excuses for not breaking down and pulling out the ol' wallet.

According to the Lord of Games, some form of downloadable content is hitting soon, and we'll hear more about it next week. "So prick up your ears, soldiers: consider this an early warning that news on potential lifespan-lengthening activities will be incoming very soon," he eloquently proclaimed.

Furthermore, L.O.G. hints that more of Klungo's platformer, Hero Klungo Sssavesss Teh World, might be included in this DLC: "I have to say I'm quite pleased with the end result, apart from the section that Klungo insisted on contributing due to what he claimed was 'popular demand'. Well, that remains to be seen."

Can I get a "hell yes" over here?

My excuse? I really f***ing hated the original Banjo-Kazooie. I'd rather not spend a billion hours with cartoon bears and collect-a-thons.

:)

Funny, considering Nuts & Bolts is literally nothing like the collectathons previous games were.

Put in more real platforming, please. Please? Thanks.

Not to hate on Nuts & Bolts, but I got the original on XBLA... Man, I'd love them to bring back more of that sort of thing. Just scatter some Jiggies throughout the levels in addition to the new vehicle "missions".

A guy can dream, right?

How about a REAL sequel and not some shark jumping game?

who cares...they shoulda kept this a platformer...i played the demo and it sucked. The handling of the vehicles is inexcusable.

The handling of the vehicles is fine IF YOU BUILD THEM CORRECTLY.

I love this game. I really think Rare was in a damned-if-you-do-damned-if-you-don't position: people would have been unhappy if a Banjo 3 had come out without being anything more than a retread, and people ARE unhappy that this game plays nothing like the previous games. Personally, I'll take a creative new idea over a well-worn retread - especially if the result is a game as awesome as Nuts & Bolts.

I really think Microsoft needs to push this game harder. It really could be their LBP counterpart. I've seen some utterly amazing vehicle designs, ranging from intricately detailed steamboats to Arwings to a gigantic Mr. Pants.

Obviously, I am looking forward to the DLC.

I just hope they don't add more Achievements with the DLC. I hate having my 100% completions stripped from me, with the only option of getting it back involving paying ten dollars.
