A wicked amount of people are working on Assassin's Creed 2 photo

Ah, the question has finally been answered. It takes roughly 450 nerds to make a hotly anticipated Ubisoft sequel. NowGamer recently spoke numbers with Assassin’s Creed 2 producer, Sebastien Puel. One of the things Puel revealed was the size of the team working on Assassin’s Creed 2, which is about triple the size of the one that worked on Assassin’s Creed.

“The team’s size for the second title of Assassin’s Creed 2 is about three times the size of the team of the first game,” Puel said. “Making [Assassin’s Creed] from A to Z took around four years ... it’s a very good thing we are keeping most of the core members who envisioned the first Assassin’s Creed.”

Three hamburger patties, as I’ve been told, is better than one hamburger patty. So, this is awesome, right?

eh...they better not make it so linear of doing the same thing until the game ends.

make it more spontaneous...its a video game ...

How many nerds does it take to screw in a lightbulb? None! They're all too busy making Assassin's Creed 2.

I find it amazing that in four years, they couldn't have made the game less repetitive, or include any post-game content.

Will "three times the dev size" make Assassin's Creed 2 buy-worthy? Stay tuned!

If they make a quality game that looks as good as the first one and address the issues lots of us had with it, I'm sold.

Having seen the Game Informer preview, i can confidently say 3x the team = 3x the awesome. Its as ambitious as the original was, even relatively speaking. Its BIG.

EXCITEMENT.

Three times the number of pointless flags to collect?

That's great news!! I heard they fired most of them. Rumour is some of the had what they called: "Wild and crazy Ideas" which involved pressing more than one button and wanting the player to use this crazy thing called "skill".

Yeah, but this is going to be one massive hamburger patty of awesome...or a cholesterol-filled death sandwich. They built up quite a lot of hype around the first game, Lord knows how much more they'll have to live up to in this one.

Christ on a stick! 450 video game developers working on a single game?! 100 is already alot to work on a game, but 450?! You'd think with that kind of size they would be making an MMO or something.

All 450 of them better come to a consensus that repetive BS doesn't make your game good.

Hey, as long as the Intel Missions are more varied than the last game....and there are no Flags...I'll probably get it.

I did every single one of those boring ass side missons, but such is the life of an Achievement Addict...though I drew the line at those god forsaken flags...nearly as bad as GTA IV's Pigeons.

They should have at least made an in-game map for flags unlockable at some point. That, and all the pointless side missions which provided useless clues for easy assassinations. And, rigid sword fighting, killing waters and... Maybe they should just keep the looks and create a new game from scratch. ;)

Cool! 3 Times the size of the original dev team!?!

Fantastic, that means there'll be at least 3 times as much "Sitting on a Bench"!

Can't wait!

Too many cooks. TOO MANY COOKS.

I wonder how many of them are middle managers who will do nothing but sit in meetings all day?

That's only about 370 more than the amount of people working on Rabbids Go Home. I hope Ubi can deliver with both games.

Let's hope they tripled the writing staff so the ending won't suck.

Size is not always a good thing. If there are to many people it can effect the communication of the teams. Hopefully, they have a solution to this problem.

450 nerds is a lot of people! I guess it needs to be that much if we want to have something as good as the first part
