Senior producer of R.U.S.E. Mathieu Girard is about to take you on a journey. A journey in which you learn what the real-time strategy game of ridiculous zooming and deception is all about. And he does all of this while standing in front of a futuristic backdrop. Talk about classy.
The "war" takes place on a massive table, guys. Did you know that? I swear they took the concept from a twist ending to an episode of The Twilight Zone.
The game is still looking impressive as always. A lot of the neat tricks at the game's disposal aren't exactly mind-blowing for the genre, yet they're able to mesh together to form something cool. Also, the thumbnail for the "decoy army" ruse is creepy as all hell. Silent Hill .. is that you?
Jordan Devore is Destructoid's PC gaming manager and founding ginger editor. He is said to be easy to love but difficult to know. When Samit inquired about his curious bio photo Jordan simply replied: "bitches love sandcastles" ... yet, there is no sandcastle in that photo. We may never truly understand his ways.

The more I hear about R.U.S.E. the more excited I get. I think I hear Company of Heroes slowly crying in the corner while trying to slit its own wrists (I love Company of Heroes but so far this looks like it'll blow that game out of the water).
...want it, hopefully I'll actually get around to building a PC that can run anything. I -still- can't play Company of Heroes, I'm missing out on RTS games, man. I tried some on consoles but I can't play those to save my life, too many controls for too few buttons.
Also, Eskimo Bob, his accent isn't that bad, or maybe I'm just used to it in Canada.
the only thing that keeps bothering me about this game is how the unit models get larger as you zoom out. it just looks strange when your not zoomed out fully or all the way in.
Could be fun but, the fact that you zoom out to a fucking TABLE, along with that the units scale up to the size of a dinosaur when zooming out BEFORE turning into icons, ruins the entire immersion for me.
I want to feel as if im playing pc/console game, not as if im playing a table top game.
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
