A Valley Without Wind, now less mysterious than before

Arcen Games has another video out of their survival/exploration title A Valley Without Wind. This video comes with developer commentary which helps explain what players will be doing, and shows off quite a bit more of the world.

It looks pretty interesting, though I'm not sure how much I will want to play it when it comes out. I am certainly willing to give it a try, but I don't know if it is really the type of game I will enjoy. The developers have put a lot of time into this, and I am always willing to support indie games. A Valley Without Wind will be out for Mac and PC hopefully later this year.

Review: Gunman Clive 2

I don't think anyone, including the game's creator, expected Gunman Clive to be such a massive hit. As an homage to retro platformers it was a joy to play, and the ridiculously cheap base price made it easy to take the plunge. Gunman Clive 2 delivers pretty much everything you'd want out of a sequel, even if it doesn't push the envelope.more

February's Xbox One Games with Gold is already out

February's the shortest month of the year, but Xbox is artificially lengthening it by spilling it over into January. That's the only way to explain this month's Xbox One Games with Gold already popping up for free on the Xbox...more

1996-style shooter Strafe looks like the start of something great

I've greatly enjoyed the promotional work that's gone into Strafe, also known as STRAFE®, also known as "the goriest shooter of 1996." But beyond the head-exploding live-action throwback trailer, wonderful as that was (h...more
