You know, I had really hoped that BF3 wouldn't follow COD in charging $15 for 4 maps. $10? I'd pay that, but $15 is pushing it. Vietnam for BC2 was different because it gave you a whole new experience with completely different vehicles and weapons.
I'd love to see variations on the maps that they already have as a number of them give a lot of leeway for it to be possible. I'm talking consoles here, not pc.

Not sure if COD does it, but the pack also brings 10 weapons that can be used across all maps, not just the new ones, plus some assignments which kinda help to give your play style some variety while you complete them. Seems a fairish price to me.

Dice said they would never charge for map packs, throwing in 10 assignments to unlock those 10 guns is a great loop hole!
Oh and after actually watching it, I can confirm everyone will be back to using the bullshit tactical lights like they did in the beta. Maps are dark and cramped, perfect excuse to blind people with it.

$10 would have been a sick price for sure. Might grab this either way as this is the game that gets the most attention from me (online wise)

They have been getting around that since Battlefield 2 by calling their map packs "booster packs".

I think this is pretty cool, there is more DLC on the way and a close quarters pack like this is cool, but not for $15, will wait for a sale. Also Claymores should be fun, I'm such a claymore whore.
bf3 needs some small maps. All BF3 does is give me the urge to go on a 30 minute jog because that sounds like more fun than BF3 is.

Personally, I hate Metro as much as the rest of you, but the main problem with that map is the tunnel, which is most of the map, especially near the stairs that lead to the third set of mcoms. If these maps are built differently (multi-leveled apparently, already an improvement over Metro) and don't suffer so much from Metro's problems, I'd give it a whirl.

I actually miss maps from Bad Company 2 and how they're designed for 24 players because of the console limits. If these new maps can somewhat replicate that feeling, I would love to pay for that.
As for the people whining about how charging for the map packs like COD, you can choose to play on servers that don't require the maps which is great if you're playing with friends that don't have the new maps. This means you can consistently play with the same group of people instead of being drop into another game with new people you're not used to which could be terrible since BF3 is all about teamwork.

This is looking pretty fun. I don't really go for the confined spaces and infantry only maps, but I can wait a few extra months for the wide open maps. This will be good for the people that don't like the long run from flag to flag and getting blasted by tanks.
People need to lay off, they aren't trying to appeal to COD players, they are trying to give everyone a big chunk of gameplay that they want.

I'm stoked for the new assignments! They were a great addition and I was hoping we'd see more. Also can't wait to see this new Conquest Domination in action, loved CQ Assault... bring on the variants!

They are adding more maps later that will be classic Battlefield style maps. So if you don't like the CoD style maps don't buy this one. I actually like Metro...it's a complete frenzy sometimes. It seems a lot of other BF3 players like it too, seeing how it's one of the top maps in user server games

I don't want to be forced to play on "Random Douchebag X" server that has 1,000 tickets per side, Metro only, and is knife and rockets only. There hasn't been any Dice/EA servers advertising in my region when I check using server browser since the user paid server patch went online.

are you even trying to be subtle about copying COD anymore. I can't wait to NOT buy this and get the armored fury expansion pack. I just wish DICE realized what made BF3 suck (in comparison to EVERY other BF) was its shameless COD-demographic-gameplay copying

In addition to personal computers, there are multiple other devices which have the ability to play games but are not dedicated video game machines, such as mobile phones, PDAs and graphing calculators. Thanks a lot.
