A new Ty the Tasmanian Tiger game is in the works photo

Krome Studios has announced that that a new Ty the Tasmanian Tiger game is in production. The game looks set to coincide with the Australian beast's tenth anniversary, which just so happens to be this year. No platforms have been announced yet.

The last time anybody saw Ty, he was sniffing around Facebook with Bush Rescue HQ back in 2010. The developer's had a bit of a resurgence since then, and has been responsible for Blade Kitten and Toy Soldiers -- if that helps you be excited or disappointed.

So ... who is willing to bet this'll turn out to be an iOS game and then everybody feels let down?

In the background you can see a very early alpha multiplayer sandbox that looks to be in the vein of Samurai Gunn and Towerfall. You get points for eating flies and lizards and killing each other. Did you know lizard only has one "z"? That's weird.more
